Experienced Law Enforcement and Security Professional Varrick Douglas
Varrick Douglas retired from his career as a senior law enforcement and security professional following 30 years with the Chicago Police Department. He initially joined the department as a patrol officer and tactical officer in 1991, a role he held for four years. He moved up the ranks over the years, serving in positions such as patrol sergeant, investigator with the organized crime division and Bureau of Organized Crime, and commander. In 2018 Varrick Douglas accepted the role of commander and executive officer,a leadership position that involved oversight of five districts and three crime units.
Varrick Douglas holds a doctor of philosophy in business administration from Argosy University in Chicago. He also holds a master of science in public safety administration and a bachelor of science in law enforcement management from Calumet College of St. Joseph. He graduated cum laude from all three programs with a 4.0 GPA. His professional memberships include the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Officers and the Police Executive Research Forum, which he has led as board president.
